Ponty Beer Fest a great success
The inaugural Pontypridd RFC Beer Festival held on the weekend of 28th September proved to be a success despite the harsh weather conditions that prevailed.
A great line-up of entertainment throughout the Saturday was enjoyed by the punters who came along to try out the various beers and ciders on tap, making it a ‘wet weekend’ both inside and out!
The club would like to thank all who were involved with setting up the festival and ensuring that it was so successful – volunteers John Clarke, Charlie Otley and Ian Clarke; Grey Trees Brewery for the kit and the set-up, Mabby Brewery and VOG Brewery for supplying beers; Bevan Quality Meats, Greggs and Sainsbury’s for food; the Bunch of Grapes, Rickards Arms, Gower Brewery, the Club Shop and Ponty squad for donating raffle prizes.
Volunteers pictured above:- David Rees, Paul Burgess (chairman of Mid Glam CAMRA), Martyn Morgan, David Roberts, Charlie Otley, John Clarke, John Watkins, and Ian Clarke. Also, not in the picture, Gareth Jones and Bar Manager Mark Davies.
A lot of hard work went into the event, but all to the benefit of those who attended and enjoyed.
