Aberavon v Pontypridd match preview

Pontypridd resume their league campaign after a three week break with an away trip to face Aberavon on Saturday 15th February, the match at the Talbot Athletic Ground kicking off at 2:30pm.

All the indications are that this could be a close fought encounter, just one position and one point separating the teams in the table with Aberavon third and Ponty fourth, and in the reverse fixture back in November, the Wizards having come away from Sardis Road with a late 15pts to 16 victory to their name.

The latest injury victim for Ponty is hooker Rob Jones with a hamstring strain, whilst outside half Diggy Bird and lock Lloyd Evans are both away due to work commitments.

Lloyd Wilkins is given his first league start in the no10 shirt whilst former Ponty Youth captain Dafydd Smith is called up as back row cover on the bench.
