Injury update
A break from match action has allowed members of the Pontypridd squad to rest and recover, but with some long term injuries still outstanding.
The most recent absentee is lock Lloyd Evans who was forced off from the recent home defeat against Newport having chipped a bone in his ankle, his leg now in plaster and with a projected recovery time of six weeks.
Hooker Rob Jones (pictured above)has been sidelined of late with hamstring and knee problems but is now waiting for the all clear to resume training. Ben Jones retired hurt from the away win at Merthyr last time out with bruised ribs and will undergo further tests next week but not expected to be absent from duty.
Two players recovering from surgery to rectify chest and ankle problems respectively are flanker Rhys Shellard and centre Gary Williams, both making good progress but still some way off a full recovery.
