Maesteg product Matt Davies represented his local club before making a breakthrough at Premiership level with Llanelli.
The towering lock crossed the Severn Bridge to join Clifton, then London Scottish before making a move back to Wales with Pontypridd in 2019. His time at Sardis Road was however limited before taking time out from the game.
