A product of the Carmarthen Quins club Wayne Evans was capped by Wales at Youth and under 21 level, a member of the Scarlets Academy before he moved to the Blues in 2005. It was from the capital region that Evans linked up with Pontypridd.
A livewire scrum half, Evans gained further international honours with Wales Sevens and in 2007 transferred to the Dragons where he spent seven successful seasons before joining up with Coventry RFC in the English leagues.
In the summer of 2016 Evans returned to Pontypridd bringing with him a wealth of experience at professional level. In his two spells with the club he totalled 46 appearances.
