Ynysybwl product Gruff Lloyd came up through the ranks of Pontypridd Youth, making his mark in the back row.
A call-up to senior level with the club followed in 2017, making five appearances before departing to focus on his studies as a doctor at Cardiff University, for whom he played in the British super-league.
