Hailing from the Anglesey village of Porthaethwy, Stuart Roy played for Cardiff RFC before joining Pontypridd in 1997.
Having previously been capped for Wales in the 1995 world cup tournament, Stuart served the club well as an effective ball winning lock, playing in some high profile games including the infamous ‘Battle of Brive” in the Heineken Cup campaign.
Following a stint with Newport, Stuart returned to serve Pontypridd as an honorary surgeon.
