Dillon and Cory – on their bikes for charity
Former Ponty favourites and current Wales senior internationals Dillon Lewis and Cory Hill have completed a gruelling ‘bikathon’ to raise money for the Tenovus Cancer Care charity.
The ride took place over the weekend just gone, and although carried out on static bikes due to the current Covid-19 lockdown, replicated a gruelling virtual journey of 220 miles from North to South Wales.
Cory Hill is a patron of Tenovus and planned the fund raising venture with his old Ponty pal Dillon Lewis.
“We’re encouraging people to keep donating,” said Hill. “People getting cancer treatment are going through such a tough time as it is, so we can’t rightly whinge about sitting on a bike for twelve hours, especially when we’ve got a week to recover.”
Congratulations to Cory and Dillon on their achievement from all at Ponty RFC.
