Ponty v RGC Matchday Preview

Pontypridd host RGC in round five of the Indigo Premiership Cup Eastern pool on Saturday 16th October, the match kicking off at 2:30pm.

Pontypridd have had a mixed start to the season with two wins and two losses while RGC have had a tough start to the season having secured their first win of the campaign at home against Ebbw Vale last Saturday by 17-13.

The games between Ponty and RGC usually produce exciting affairs with both sides looking to play an expansive, attractive style of rugby. During the last full season between 2019 and 2020, Ponty secured a win at home against RGC by 27-12 whilst RGC took the spoils at Parc Eiras by 26-8.

Supporters are reminded that the Pwllgwaun end remains closed and access is only via the clubhouse entrance. Ticket prices for the game are priced at £12 for adults and £10 for concessions with under 16’s gaining free entrance provided they are accompanied by a paying adult.

Before kick-off, live football will be shown in the clubhouse when Watford take on Liverpool at Vicarage Rd with the game kicking off at 12.30pm. After the Ponty game has finished the clubhouse will be showing Brentford against Chelsea with that game kicking off at 5:30pm. Live rugby will also be shown on the big screen with Wasps taking on Exeter Chiefs with the game kicking off at 3pm.
