Newport v Pontypridd – Matchday Preview

Pontypridd travel to play Newport in the Indigo Group Welsh Premiership on Thursday 17th February, the match kicking off at 7:30pm. The contest is being shown live on S4C’s online streaming service S4C Clic.

It has been a stop start, slightly disjointed Welsh Premiership campaign for most teams this season with some clubs having played 5 matches and some only 2. Newport currently sit second in the league with three wins from three matches, Ponty sit in ninth with a win and a loss from their opening two matches.

It will be Ponty’s second visit to the Black and Ambers’ new home this season – Newport Stadium, which is situated to the south of the city. For those travelling by car with sat nav the nearest post code is NP19 4PT and parking is available at the ground.

There will be refreshments available in the nearby Newport cricket clubhouse which is open from 5pm onwards.
