Hailing from Penygraig in the Rhondda Valley, Lloyd Evans played his junior rugby for Treorchy before joining Pontypridd at youth level, captaining the team to Welsh Cup glory in 2015.
He went on to play for Beddau at senior level whilst also representing the University of South Wales as an abrasive back rower who could also cover in the second row.
Having occasionally turned out for the club on permit over the previous two seasons, Lloyd Evans made a return to Pontypridd in the summer of 2018. Lloyd played his last game for the club in February 2020, just before the global covid-19 pandemic halted the sport.
