Captain’s Blog
It’s been a good few weeks within the camp with some positive results coming our way – especially at home against a strong Merthyr team where the boys really had to dig deep and come away with a late winner. But in contrast it was a bitter pill to swallow in the quarter-final of the Cup against Llandovery.
At the last game at home against Llanelli it was brilliant to see so many Mini & Junior players, parents and supporters at the ground creating a real buzz around the place and the players felt that, so a massive thank you to all that turned out.
We are on a good run in the league right now and we hope to continue this form until the end of the season and finish as high up the table as possible, but we are under no illusions that we still have some real tough games to play especially a local derby against Cardiff.
All the boys are working hard in training and pushing each other which you can see in the performances. We are creating a real family environment with players enjoying spending time together and we hope this transcends onto the field for the future.
This weekend we travel up to RGC once more in what will be another bruising encounter, they picked up a brilliant win on the road last weekend against Newport and will be full of confidence at home, so we will need to be at our best and put in an 80-minute performance to get the result.
