Born and bred in Llanrwst, Llywarch ap Myrddin learnt his rugby trade with local club Nant Conwy before progressing to the ranks of RGC.
Moving south, the versatile full back or wing featured for both Newport and Cardiff at Premiership level.
In the summer of 2021 Llywarch brought his undoubted ability and experience to the senior squad of Pontypridd RFC. He made 12 appearances and scored 1 try for Ponty during his only season with the club having joined from Newport. He announced his retirement from rugby at the end of the 2021/22 campaign.
