In memoriam – Tegwen Norton

Pontypridd RFC are saddened to learn of the passing of Tegwen Norton, more affectionately known as ‘Auntie Teg’ who worked for the club for many years.

Tegwen passed away surrounded by her family in the early hours of July 17th at the Royal Glamorgan Hospital. She lived in Llandraw Court, Maesycoed, but spent most of her life in nearby Hopkinstown.

Auntie Teg was part of the team that worked for many seasons in the food and drink outlet underneath the scoreboard at Sardis Road.

During her time working for the club she served thousands of supporters their cups of tea and coffee – every single one of them came with a smile. The thoughts of everyone at Pontypridd RFC are with the family and friends of Tegwen.
