Stuckey and Davies-King sidelined
Two Pontypridd players who have been on top form recently have both suffered similar injury setbacks following last weekend’s home win over Ebbw Vale.
Winger Dale Stuckey (pictured left) and prop Will Davies-King (right) both departed the field with ankle ligament damage.
A detailed assessment of the severity of the respective injuries cannot yet be made, with both players sitting out training this week as the swelling on the ankle joint subsides. Scans will then be carried out to ascertain the extent of the damage.
Even the best case scenario makes it highly unlikely that either Stuckey or Davies-King will feature in the next league game at home to Newport on Saturday.
Both will be missed, having made significant contributions to Ponty’s resurgence in form over the past weeks.
