End of season fixtures update

Pontypridd RFC can now officially confirm the details regarding the team’s two outstanding Indigo Group Welsh Premiership fixtures for the 2022/23 season, against Swansea and Llanelli respectively.

Pontypridd and Swansea were originally scheduled to play each other on Saturday 21st January 2023 at Sardis Road. It was postponed due to the sub-zero temperatures that swept across Wales that particular weekend and as a result large areas of the pitch were frozen on the day.

We can now confirm that the match will now take place at Sardis Road on Saturday 6th May 2023 and kick off at 2:30pm.

Ponty were due to play Llanelli RFC at Parc y Scarlets on Saturday 4th March 2023. The match was postponed due Llanelli not being able to raise a team, namely in the key area of the front row.

The relevant department at the WRU have recently reviewed the circumstances surrounding the postponement and as a result, we can confirm that the match will not be rescheduled and Pontypridd have been awarded the 5 match points from the fixture.

CONFIRMATION:

• Pontypridd v Swansea – Saturday 6th May 2023, kick-off 2:30pm.
• Llanelli v Pontypridd – Pontypridd awarded a 20-0 win and 5 league points.
