Captain’s End Of Season Blog
This must have been one of the longest seasons to date, or at least felt that way. Despite not having the season we wanted, the pride I get from pulling on that historical jersey never differs.
Each blog that I have written seems to follow the same process, however it has been nice to sit back and reflect on finishing the season on a positive note. From just missing out against RGC where we could see glimpses of what this squad can achieve, to sending the Pontypridd faithful away with a bonus point against Swansea. I firmly believe that game is a huge steppingstone for us as a group, even though the season has just finished, we need to take this into next season and start with a bang!
As the season has ended it was great to celebrate as a group at the end of year awards, it was great to see so many fans there to enjoy the night with and say thank you. As a squad we want to say thank you to you all once again for your continued support throughout the season, you really are the best in the world!!
With the club identifying players who are moving on to pastures new, I would like to say a huge thank you for your time and effort throughout your time at the House of Pain, I wish you the best of luck in your next ventures and there is always a warm welcome back at Sardis Road for you. Another huge thank you must go out to partners and family members who put up with so much throughout the season and are always there supporting.
As you can see online the club is already making some shrewd signings and excitement is building nicely, which makes me want to get back on to the pitch tomorrow. I have no doubt that next year will be positive and successful, bringing back glory days to Sardis Road.
See you all soon.
Ole!
