Diolch Adam
After two seasons with Pontypridd RFC’s media team, Adam Cleary has stepped down from his role at the Club. Adam joined the team early in the 2021/22 season whilst also studying for his Sports Journalism degree at USW in Cardiff.
In his first year with Ponty RFC Adam wrote match reports and took the lead on presenting the Club’s Rugby Show on local radio station GTFM. After obtaining his degree last summer, his studies increased last season whilst he worked towards his Masters degree at Cardiff University, but he continued to interview guests for the Radio Show working in tandem to produce the broadcasts with Guto Davies.
At the conclusion of his studies at Cardiff University Adam has now finished in his role with the Club.
On his time with the Ponty Media Team, Adam said: “It’s been a pleasure and a privilege helping out with the Pontypridd RFC media team over the past two seasons. I’d like to thank everyone at the club for having me and making me feel so welcome.”
Head of Ponty RFC’s media, Geraint Thomas said: “Adam came onboard with the media team shortly after I took the reigns and he has worked really hard over the past two seasons both writing content for the Club and helping to produce the GTFM Ponty Rugby Show. He’s been a pleasure to work with and I wish him all the very best for his future career in journalism.”
With his Masters degree in journalism now under his belt, Adam will now pursue a career in the media and Pontypridd RFC would like to wish him well for the future.
