Pontypridd v Merthyr – *rescheduled for Thursday 14th March*

Pontypridd RFC can confirm that the team’s Indigo Group Welsh Premiership fixture against Merthyr RFC, originally scheduled for Saturday 6th April at Sardis Road has be brought forward to this coming Thursday 14th March.

The main reason for this change is due to Merthyr’s progression to the National Cup final, which takes place the day after the scheduled date on Sunday 7th April. Merthyr also have a fixture backlog with matches already confirmed on Saturdays 20th and 27th April – both of which are Ponty’s only free weekends left in the current season.

That leaves the two clubs with very little option other than to rearrange the Valleys Derby clash for this coming Thursday evening.
