Premiership round up – 30/03/18
All but two Premiership teams played in a programme of fixtures on bank holiday Good Friday 30th March, with the top five all benefitting from the festive spirit with victories to their names.
Merthyr remained clear at the top but had to pull out all the stops in the second half to record a 10pts to 26 away win against bottom side Neath. Carmarthen Quins also had to dig deep to see off Ebbw Vale by 34pts to 23.
Cardiff kept up their recent run of form, coming away from Bargoed with a 7pts to 39 victory.
There were some Easter try fests, RGC crossing eight times in their 55pts to 26 home win over Cross Keys and Pontypridd replicating that feat in recording a 19pts to 54 away win at Swansea.
Two form teams went head to head at Church Bank, with Llandovery edging out Newport by 24pts to 19. Aberavon recorded a home win over Bedwas by the same margin.
