Ponty Youth contest Regional Play-Off Final

Pontypridd Youth will have all to play for on the very last day of the season as they contest the WRU Regional Play-Off Final against Bridgend Athletic.

Having progressed to the play-off stage of the campaign by default, as Blues A League champions Rumney Youth were unable to commit to the additional fixtures, Pontypridd have made the most of their opportunities.

Victorious against Newbridge Youth in the previous round, Ponty Youth faced North Wales representatives Nant Conwy in the semi-final last Saturday, the tie played at the neutral venue of Llanidloes RFC.

Ponty Youth battled their way to a 15pts to 8 win and are now set to play Bridgend Athletic, who secured a 33pts to 19 victory over Crymych in their semi final tie, in the Regional Final on Saturday 19th May.

The final will be played at Newport RFC’s Rodney Parade ground kicking off at 7pm.
