Premiership round up – 19/05/18

The Principality Premiership came to a close on Saturday 19th May 2018 with the final two fixtures fulfilled.
Llandovery climbed to a second place finish, overtaking Pontypridd in the rankings, with a 42pts to 21 home win over Llanelli.
Bargoed avoided a bottom place finish with a fighting performance against visitors RGC, leading by 17pts to 14 at the interval before succumbing to a 31pts to 34 defeat, the losing bonus point proving important.
On the previous Tuesday evening Merthyr confirmed their status as champions with a seven try 48pts to 19 home win over Aberavon. In a close fought Gwent derby Ebbw Vale came away from Cross Keys with a 11pts to 15 victory.
