Croeso – Willkommen Nurtingen

Pontypridd RFC was proud to participate in events on the weekend of 28th July, welcoming visitors from Nurtingen, Germany.

Pontypridd and Nurtingen are twinned, and to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the association between the towns, visitors from Germany including Nurtingen’s Oberbürgermeister (mayor) met with representatives of the Pontypridd community.

The aim of the visit was to enhance communal ties between the two towns, matching up like-minded groups in Pontypridd and Nurtingen.

Representatives of Pontypridd RFC attended a formal lunch in the Heritage Park Hotel on Friday evening, and on Saturday morning in the Pontypridd Museum, media officer Guto Davies on behalf of the rugby club presented the Oberbürgermeister with a shirt and grogg (pictured).
