Squad departures

The Pontypridd squad for the forthcoming season is currently being pieced together, but without the services of a number of players who featured during the previous campaign.

Players who have departed, by reason of injury, work or domestic commitments, or to look for game time elsewhere, are wingers Ryan Crowley and Marcus Jones, centres Tom Hannah, Jarrad Rees and Gabriel Davies, outside half Jordan Rees, scrum half Huw Rees, prop Connor Lewis, hookers Geraint Clarke, Will Haly and Joe Page, lock Shay Smallman and back rowers Steff Jenkins, Rhodri Jones and Sion Edwards.

Two veterans who have in the meantime decided to hang up their boots for good are outside half Ceri Sweeney(pictured) and prop Ian George.

The process of rebuilding the Ponty squad goes on with a number of trialists staking a claim in pre-season training and friendly matches.
