Blues Premiership Select XV to face Doncaster Knights

The Blues Premiership Select XV will host Doncaster Knights in a British & Irish Cup pool 2 tie at Sardis Road on Saturday 16th December, the match kicking off at 2:30pm.

In the reverse fixture the previous weekend, Doncaster inflicted a heavy 70pts to 12 defeat on the young Blues team, who currently lie bottom of the Pool 2 table without a win from three games played. Previous defeats had come at home to Bristol and away to Leinster A.

The Irish provincial team top the table with a 100% winning record in the competition.

The Blues Select team to face Doncaster Knights is a mix of young academy players joined by representatives of the three Premiership clubs – Cardiff, Pontypridd and Merthyr. The side is led by experienced senior Blues scrum half Lewis Jones, with Wales international prop Dillon Lewis also in the line-up.
