Cardiff v Pontypridd – Behind Closed Doors (as it stands)
Pontypridd travel to the Arms Park to play old foes Cardiff on Monday 27th December 2021, the Indigo Welsh Premiership match kicking off at 2.30pm.
But as it stands the match will be played behind closed doors, this means that no supporters from either club will be able to attend. This follows the Welsh Government’s announcement just after midnight on Tuesday 21st December that all sporting events will be played with no crowds present at grounds from Boxing Day onwards in the hope of combatting the spread of the Omicron Variant.
Both clubs have been correspondence and have been keeping a close eye on announcements in order to keep supporters up to date. On the morning of Tuesday 21st December this is where we currently stand, we expect further guidance in due course, including an announcement from the Welsh Rugby Union.
Both clubs would like to thank everyone for their cooperation.
