Club Shop – all change!
Anyone visiting the Club Shop at Sardis Road over the past weeks will have noticed that changes have been made, with more yet to come.
After many years looking after a steady stream of customers to the shop, Carole Waughington has stood down from her duties, with the retail franchise taken over by Richard Baggs of FJ’s Print Shop, who have an outlet on Central Square in Trallwn.
With a complete refurbishment of the Club Shop planned during the close season, the first task undertaken by Richard Baggs was a clearance sale of existing stock.
The shop will now be open 1pm to 5pm before and after home matches, and for an hour prior to the departure time of supporters’ coaches to away games, as well as a regular midweek slot of Wednesday evenings from 4pm to 6pm.
The new shop franchise will take off next season with a new and extended stock to be sold on site and on-line.
Ponty Rugby director Peter Howells welcomed the club’s new retail franchise, whilst paying tribute to Carole Waughinton for her sterling commitment.
“The Club Shop at Sardis Road will be transformed over the coming summer months and will offer a whole new shopping experience for our supporters” said Howells.
“The business has been set on a firm footing over the past years by Carole, and I would like to take this opportunity to thank her for her dedication and her assistance in setting up the new franchise.
“We are reviewing all aspects of Pontypridd RFC in offering a better service to our supporters and partners, and the refurbishment of the Club Shop will be an important part of that initiative.”
Supporters can look forward to the new shopping experience at Ponty RFC, and in the meantime can cash in on some amazing discount deals on existing stock – retail therapy Sardis style!
