End of Season Awards / Cap Presentation Night 2023/24

On Saturday evening 8th June the Pontypridd RFC annual player awards ceremony took place in the Clubhouse at Sardis Road. It was a great evening, compered by Peter Johnson…

The first two categories, voted for by Pontypridd supporters were –

The Stuart Williams Supporters’ Forward of the Year, sponsored by GMB Union was won by Joe Miles for the second year in a row.

The Supporters’ Player of the Year, sponsored by the PRFC Supporters Club was Josh Phillips.

The Players’ Player of the Year, sponsored by the PRFC Supporters Club and voted for by the players was Cai James.

…and there was a special Unseen Hero award, sponsored by GMB Union which was awarded to Ben Stephens (below) –

Massive congratulations to all the award winners and a huge thank you to the sponsors of the various awards as well. The evening wasn’t finished there, not by any stretch as everyone in the packed out Sardis Road Clubhouse then celebrated two milestones for two Ponty stalwarts.

Two of Pontypridd’s recent longest serving players Chris Dicomidis and Joel Raikes reached 400 and 200 appearance milestones respectively last season and both were presented with their club caps and blazers.
