Geraint Lewis returns

Pontypridd RFC are very pleased to announce that Geraint Lewis is joining the Club’s Coaching Team with immediate effect in preparation for a very important forthcoming season.

A former Wales international, Geraint had three spells with Pontypridd during an accomplished playing career and had clocked up 146 appearances for the Club when he left in 2009.

He returned to Ponty in 2013 to take up the role of Forwards Coach and following a successful season at Sardis Road, Geraint moved on to take up a full-time post with the WRU as a skills coach.

On coming back onboard with Ponty RFC, Geraint said: “It is always a great honour and privilege to be involved with the club in any capacity and to be rejoining as part of the coaching team is an especially exciting challenge and opportunity which I am very much looking forward to. Although results have not been as desired this season there are still some real strengths to build on and other areas to develop and having the chance to work with a mixture of young and more experienced squad members alongside other like minded coaches I hope will help enhance performances and results in the future. Like any Ponty supporter I am passionate for the club to improve and will aim to do my best and work my hardest to help this be realised.”
