Give Blood / Rhowch Waed

Pontypridd RFC are proud to support the Welsh Blood Service (WBS) and encourages anyone who is able to give blood, to become donors.

Giving blood is a practical and valuable way to support our National Health Service as well as giving the gift of life to another person. The Welsh Blood Service have blood donor sessions at University of South Wales during October and November with over 140 appointments to fill, and they are urging people to help fill the remaining available appointments.

Current bloodstocks in Wales are lower than the WBS would like them to be. They aim to have at least 7 days of each blood type to help patients in need and maintain the supply and demand of the 19 Welsh hospitals. Don’t know your type? No problem, they will do that bit for you when you donate. The Welsh Blood Service need more people to sign up as donors to help patients across Wales.

Let’s try to get that number higher – it only takes 45 minutes to help save a life, our team will take very good care of you – plus we have a lovely selection of biscuits!
