A product of Ferndale RFC Shane Lewis-Hughes graduated from the successful Rhondda Schools Dewar Shield squad to represent Coleg y Cymoedd and the Blues age grade squads.
The powerhouse back rower was capped by Wales at Youth and under 20 level, and from the Blues Academy was allocated to club duties with Pontypridd in 2017. His performances at Premiership level were no doubt a contributing factor in his elevation to regional status with the Blues, and in 2019 called up to the Wales senior squad.
