Hailing from Ystrad Mynach, Ross Morgan came up through the ranks of Penallta RFC and went on to play for Bedwas at Premiership level, but his time there hampered by injury.
Returning to Penallta, the dynamic openside flanker captained the club to success, winning the National Plate and the Mid District Cup in 2017. He was called up to the Pontypridd senior squad in the following close-season, going on to make 20 appearances.
Ross was employed as an electrician.
