Jack Rowsell joined Pontypridd in 1966 becoming a regular pick in the back row over the next six seasons, and able to cover on occasion as a prop.
Having made 125 club appearances and scored 10 tries, Jack’s Ponty career was cut short by a knee injury, his last game played on New Year’s Day 1972.
After hanging up his boots Jack turned his attention to the world of horse racing and trained the Welsh point to point champion in 1980/81. Both his children represented Wales at showjumping.
