Rhondda boy Corey Shephard came up through the ranks of his local club Ystrad Rhondda and the successful Rhondda Schools set-up.
Progressing to senior level Corey was given an opportunity at Premiership level with Cross Keys, establishing himself as a versatile back line player, able to cover at full back, centre and outside half.
In the summer of 2019 he made the move closer home, joining up with Pontypridd. Corey, who was employed as a fitness coach with Cardiff City Academy, made 18 senior appearances for the club, mostly as a centre, before departing in 2021.
