Harvey Nash signs for Pontypridd
Pontypridd RFC are delighted to announce the signing of scrum-half Harvey Nash from the Ospreys.
The 20 year old Treorchy product joins Ponty from the Swansea-based region in readiness for the 2023/24 campaign having also played in the Welsh Premiership for Swansea last season, and Bridgend the season before whilst being based in West Wales.
Prior to his two years with the Ospreys, Harvey played Age Grade rugby for Cardiff Blues U16’s and U18’s as well as playing for Coleg y Cymoedd whilst studying there. He also played for Wales U20’s at international level.
On signing for Ponty, Harvey said: “I’m excited for a fresh start with a new team, pre-season has already started and it’s been good. I’m looking forward to playing week in week out with a team like Pontypridd, it’s a big club with good history. Hopefully we can give the fans something to cheer about in the new season as we aim to put smiles on faces.”
Ponty Joint Head Coach Gareth Wyatt said: “We are really pleased to have Harvey on board. He’s another player from the Rhondda Valley who progressed through Rhondda Schools, regional age grade and Coleg y Cymoedd alongside club rugby at Treorchy. He has continued his development with the Ospreys academy along with gaining premiership experience with Bridgend and Swansea during his time with the Ospreys. Harvey has made a really positive impression during pre season and I’m sure that will continue into the coming season as we continue to build a competitive squad for the future.”
Welcome to Pontypridd, Harvey!
