In memoriam – Arthur Evans

Pontypridd RFC is deeply saddened to learn of the passing over the weekend of stalwart supporter and benefactor Arthur Evans.
It was only last September that the club joined in with Arthur’s 100th birthday celebrations, making him possibly its oldest supporter.
RAF veteran Arthur was still active to the last as a community volunteer in Hawthorn and retained his passion for Pontypridd RFC, having been a prominent fundraiser for the Friends of Pontypridd.
A fighter to the end, Arthur’s loss will be deeply felt by the community and by the rugby club he loved. The thoughts of all at Pontypridd RFC are with Arthur Evans’ family in their time of grief.
