In memoriam – Mervyn White

Pontypridd RFC is saddened to learn of the passing of one of the club’s oldest members Mervyn White, aged 102.

Mervyn was born on 1st July 1919 and worked all over the UK on military aircraft but spent much of his working life in the Brown Lennox factory in the town.

He began supporting Pontypridd RFC from the late 1940’s when the Club was based at Ynysangharad Park and has been a life member ever since and was still a season ticket holder at Sardis Road.

All our thoughts are with Mervyn’s son Alwyn, his family and all his friends at this sad time.
