Loud and clear – Sardis sound system repaired
It will be music to the ears of Pontypridd supporters that the public sound system at Sardis Road has been given a much needed overhaul.
Problems had been encountered with the PA system during recent home matches, which have now been rectified.
The cost of the repair work was over £2,000 and Pontypridd RFC is extremely grateful to the Friends of Pontypridd and to the Supporters’ Club for their financial contributions to fund the project.
The work has been carried out to the highest standard by local company Elliott Sound of Taffs Well.
Chairman of the Supporters’ Club Phil Lycett, who is also the ‘music man’ at Sardis Road on match days, voiced his gratitude that the sound system had been restored.
“The speakers in the Grandstand were in need of an overhaul” said Lycett. “We as a Supporters’ Club could contribute towards the cost, and we are again thankful to the Friends of Pontypridd who are a trusted source of funding for projects such as this.”
