Match Preview – Rhys Shellard’s Testimonial
This Friday 27th May Rhys Shellard’s Legends XV play South Wales Police at Sardis Road, kick off is 7:00pm.
Rhys is departing Pontypridd RFC after many years of service to the club and Shelly’s Testimonial Match will allow supporters one last chance to show their appreciation for a club stalwart and give him a well-deserved send off.
There has been a change in the opposition from when the match was originally scheduled, Rhys would like to personally thank South Wales Police for agreeing to the fixture and they themselves have said they “are honoured to take this fixture and can’t wait for this epic occasion…”

Gates open at 5:00pm and entry for the match is priced at £10 per person, £5 for under 16’s and this includes joining the players for a party in the clubhouse after the game whilst enjoying a live band. Supporters are reminded that the Pwllgwaun end remains closed and access is only via the clubhouse entrance.
It’s going to be a superb evening and night to celebrate the career of a Ponty RFC legend.
