Matchday Preview – Carmarthen Quins v Pontypridd

Pontypridd travel to Carmarthen Park to play Carmarthen Quins on Thursday 13th October, the Indigo Group Premiership match kicks off at 7:30pm. The contest is also being shown live on S4C’s online streaming service S4C Clic.

Last season the two sides only met once in the shortened league campaign in December 2021 at Sardis Road. Ponty won 31-24 thanks largely to 23 points from the boot of Diggy Bird and a Dale Stuckey try.

Ponty’s last visit to Carmarthen Park was on 4th January 2020. The home side were victors on that occasion by 27 points to 20 – Joel Raikes and Dale Stuckey scored the Ponty tries that afternoon.

Last weekend Ponty lost at home to table-toppers Aberavon whilst the Quins beat Llanelli at home 28-27 thanks to a dramatic stoppage-time try by Kalum Evans.
