Matchday Preview – Pontypridd v Ebbw Vale
This Saturday 23rd April Pontypridd play their final match of the 2021-22 Indigo Group Welsh Premiership season, we welcome Ebbw Vale to Sardis Road for a 2:30pm kick-off.
The main event is obviously Ponty’s last match in front of the Sardis Road faithful for 2021-22, but there’s a lot going on off the field as well, we’ll get through all that a little later.
On the field Ponty and the Steelmen have met twice this season home and away in the pool stage of the Indigo Group Welsh Premiership Cup back in 2021. Ebbw won 16-6 at Eugene Cross Park back last September, but Ponty won at Sardis Road 31-3 back in early November.
As can be seen from the current standings above it’s 7th v 10th, Ponty will be looking for the win that will finish their current campaign on a high against a stoic Ebbw who’ll be looking for the win in front of their usual well supported travelling fans.
