NEW COACHING APPOINTMENT- FORWARDS COACH LEE DAVIES

With the coaching management team all set for pre season on the 18th of June, all have a clear strategy to ensure that the pathway and development of players remains aligned with the community game. We are delighted to welcome Lee Davies as the new forwards coach.

Director of rugby Justin Burnell added “The appointment of Lee is testament to the professional approach that we continue to enforce throughout the pathway. In his role as Director of Rugby at Coleg Y Cymoedd Lee has worked very closely with us and will be an asset to our coaching team

Lee has an impressive background in coaching which will certainly benefit us as a club .

With Lee being no stranger to Sardis Road, we caught up with him for a quick chat.

“I am Really excited to join a fantastic club at the top end our our pathway (Dewar shield, Blues, Cymoedd, USW) “.

It’s has always been an ambition of mine to represent Pontypridd as it is for many valleys boys growing up. I played for the club as a youth and under 21’s player, and visited on the wrong side on many occasions as a player. It’s a special place to play with a fantastic support. I am extremely excited about becoming part of the close knit, highly professional management group.

Pontypridd produce year on year in the Premiership, I am looking forward to helping them achieve their huge potential once again. I am now looking forward to meeting the players, many of whom I have coached previously earlier in the pathway or at other clubs. Heres to a great pre season ! “
