Oh come all ye faithful – to Sardis this Saturday

A bumper crowd is expected at Sardis Road on Saturday 23d December for the traditional festive derby match against old rivals Cardiff. Supporters will turn out in numbers, no doubt full of festive cheer and suitably attired in their Christmas themed tops and santa hats to make a day and night of it.

A full day of rugby action is on the agenda as Pontypridd Schools kick off with a double header against their Cardiff counterparts at A and B levels from 11am.

The main event at 5:15pm, the Premiership clash between Ponty and Cardiff, is televised live on S4C. A pre-match festive lunch at 3pm is already sold out.

Supporters are asked to turn up wearing their Christmas themed attire, and Ponty photographers Mike Jones and Kevin Rudge will be out and about taking snapshots of the festive fans at their best.

For those still looking for their last minute stocking fillers, the Club Shop will be open, with Pontypridd RFC branded Oddballs bobble hats on sale whilst stocks last.

The bars at Sardis Road will be open all day, with special discount prices of three bottles for £5 on selected brands. Food will also be available and top of the range Fat Dragon coffee on sale as an ideal winter warmer.

There will be a festive welcome extended to all-comers to stay on into the night after the match, win or lose, to celebrate Christmas Ponty RFC style with friends old and new.
