Lucus Welch rejoined Pontypridd from Ystrad Rhondda ready for the 2024/25 season having made 8 appearances for the Club between 2021-2023.
He’d previously joined Pontypridd at the commencement of the 2021-22 season whilst linked to his local club Ynysybwl. The livewire scrum half’s time at Ponty RFC came to an abrupt end when dislocated his shoulder away at Aberavon in January 2023.
Working his way back to full fitness, Lucus joined up with Ystrad Rhondda ready for 2023/24 and helped them gain promotion into this season’s Welsh Premiership before returning to Pontypridd ahead of 2024/25.
