Ponty Matchdays – Get Involved

Sardis Road is a special place to be on home matchdays, and there is once more an opportunity this coming season for supporters and sponsors to become part of the occasion.

There will be twelve home league fixtures for Ponty in the Admiral Premiership this season and the club is now offering the opportunity for Bucket Collections, Golden Bob man of the match sponsorship and Match Mascots for each of these games.

Bucket Collections: Pontypridd RFC prides itself on being a club deeply rooted in its community and the matchday bucket collection is a well established way for the club to serve that community, raising funds for local charities and appeals. The club raised almost £5,000 for various causes through last season’s bucket collections.

Golden Bob: The unique ‘Golden Bob’ trophy, sponsored by the World of Groggs, is awarded at each home game to a man of the match as nominated by the trophy sponsor. The gold plated figure of Ponty icon Bob Penberthy is highly valued by players and supporters alike. Golden Bob sponsorship for each home fixture is priced at £120, with a credit given to the sponsor over the tannoy and in the match programme, and a photo opportunity with the nominated player at the end of the game.

Match Mascot: An ideal way to celebrate a child’s birthday or a special occasion is to give them the honour of being match mascots at Sardis Road. Children under the age of 16 can be nominated at a price of just £10 per child.  The mascots become very much a part of the matchday occasion, with a profile in the programme, a tour of the home changing room and a photo opportunity with the team captain out on the pitch.
