Ponty Rugby Ltd’s Photography and Video Recording Policy

Pontypridd RFC would like make everyone, who is in attendance during Senior and Youth matchdays at the club, aware of our new photography and video recording policy.

No person(s) (other than those who holds an appropriate accreditation from Ponty Rugby Ltd) may bring into the Ground or use within the Ground any equipment which is capable of recording or transmitting (by digital or other means) any audio, visual or audio-visual material or any information or data in relation to an Event or the Grounds (save for photographs taken for personal purposes). Copyright in any unauthorised recording or transmission is assigned (by way of present assignment of future copyright pursuant to section 91 of the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988) to Ponty Rugby Ltd.

The Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 (CDPA 1988) establishes the criteria for copyright protection, the duration of protection, and the ownership of works. It also defines the rights of performers and others in performances, and the rights of patent and trade mark agents.

Cameras – Small personal cameras on mobile phone devices are allowed, but professional, commercial, or video cameras are not. Cameras with interchangeable, detachable or extendable lenses are also not permitted.

Recording devices – Audio recording devices are not allowed, except for personal phones.

Pontypridd reserves the right to its own image rights i.e. the players, coaches and wider support team, and only individuals with accredited passes may use matchday images on public social media platforms.

Any persons found to be breaching the club policy will be liable to sanctions.
