Pontypridd v Llanelli – match preview
Pontypridd play their first home league tie of the new campaign on Saturday 8th September, hosting Llanelli in a match that kicks off at 2:30pm.
The two opposing clubs experienced varying fortunes on the first weekend of Premiership action – Pontypridd winning away at Bedwas by 23pts to 33 whilst Llanelli went down to a home defeat against Ebbw Vale by 10pts to 43.
In a solitary clash with Llanelli the previous season it was Ponty who claimed the honours, winning at home by 59pts to 14 in early February.
The latest casualty in the Pontypridd squad is full back Lloyd Rowlands, serving a compulsory rest period following suspected concussion in the Bedwas game. Gary Williams takes his place, with utility back Tom Hannah drafted in on permit from Llanishen to cover on the bench.
