Premiership round up – 28/04/18

Only two Premiership games were played on Saturday 28th April, the weekend allocated to National Finals Day, but both having an impact on the rankings at the top of the table.
Pontypridd edged a 24pts to 20 home win over Carmarthen Quins to consolidate third position in the table and cut the gap on leaders Merthyr to four points.
Llandovery also won a close fought encounter by 28pts to 26 against RGC, but the visitors gaining the consolation of try scoring an losing bonus points.
Matches played earlier in midweek saw Ebbw Vale going down at home against Aberavon by 26pts to 30, Llanelli also suffer a home defeat by 22pts to 25 against Bridgend, and Bedwas post a 34pts to 19 home win against Bargoed.
