Primary kids’ day out at Sardis
A successful Primary Schools Rugby Festival was held at Sardis Road on Friday 10th November, and the following day some of the participating children and their families were invited back for the Pontypridd v Newport match.
The children, representing Alaw Primary, Cwm Clydach Primary, Porth Primary and Trealaw Primary, were given a guided tour of the home changing rooms and medical areas before taking to the pitch to greet the teams as a guard of honour.
All those participating showed impeccable manners as players and supporters observed a minute’s silence in remembrance of those that had fought for our country.
After the game, the children and their families met the Ponty players and got autographs and photos to remember their visits to Sardis Road.
“It was great to see the children and their families at Sardis Road” commented Ponty Rugby Commercial Manager Emma Rogers.
“Our Pontypridd & Valleys Initiative embraces all the schools in the RCT area and we are very much looking forward to welcoming more primary schools back to Sardis Road in the new year.”
