Ross Davies signs up with Ponty

Pontypridd have made a significant addition to their senior squad by signing experienced tight-head prop Ross Davies on a short term contract.

Newbridge product Davies has an impressive CV, having represented Cardiff and Neath earlier in his career, having two stints with the Ospreys and in 2008 moving to England to play for Sale Sharks, Rotherham and Doncaster.

A return to Wales saw Davies playing for both RGC and Cardiff at Premiership level before spending time in the USA representing Dallas Reds and New Orleans Gold.

The physically imposing prop, who stands at over 6ft in his socks and weighs in at over 19 st will now play for Pontypridd until the New Year.

Welcoming the latest addition to the Ponty squad, Team Manager Dan Godfrey commented: “Ross will bring with him a wealth of experience at professional and semi professional level. He is renown as a strong scrummager and ball carrier and will greatly enhance our front row options.”
